At least the trash pickup is still good

It appears to me that the city of Rolling Meadows needs to be cleaned up politically and administratively, in light of some recent and not so recent decisions.

Most recent, turning down the Islamic Society special use permit and the early retirement of our police chief. All on the hush-hush, just like when our former city manager left so quickly.

No one has any explanations - Sam's Club walking away, Uncle Joe's Market, two years to build an ice cream shop. How did Harvest Bible get a special use permit?

Are we tearing down two fire stations and going into debt unnecessarily? How many calls have been late at current facilities?

Our community development department is understaffed, poorly trained and overzealous. They want to make criminals out of permit violators. Where's the customer focus?

How is it that other communities can negotiate with potential businesses and our city drives them out?

As a longtime business owner and resident I speak from experience and lately it's all bad.

All in all our garbage service is great.
