Buffalo Grove garage fire damages two vehicles

Buffalo Grove firefighters early Friday extinguished a blaze that caused $100,000 of damage to a home's attached garage and the two vehicles inside it on the 700 block of Lehigh Lane.

There were no injuries from the fire, which was first reported at 2:01 a.m. The residents will be able to remain in their home, which sustained moderate smoke damage.

The garage itself sustained major damage, however. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fire crews from Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights first arrived at 2:04 a.m., by which time the home's occupants had already gotten out.

Further assistance was provided by Linconlshire/Riverwoods, Palatine, Lake Zurich, Rolling Meadows and Long Grove before the fire was declared under control at 2:24 a.m.
