Why is Trump bashed? Here's a start.
Did you know: The border wall was actually begun years ago, by Congress. Only Congress can fund more. That will happen, Trump or no Trump.
Only Congress can (but won't) arrange for Mexico to pay. Grabbing money Mexicans send home is an old idea rejected as unworkable. Besides, Trump said he will deport those Mexicans.
His high duties would start a trade war. The U.S. would suffer greatly, and lose jobs. Most of the good jobs are gone because of technology, not imports.
Trump companies are big buyers of Chinese and Mexican goods. Trump Tower was built with 85 percent illegal labor. Trump University is being sued for fraud in New York and California. Trump has gone through four major business bankruptcies and at least two other failures, a sure sign of poor management.
He won't publish his income taxes.
He disparages our allies but loves Putin, leader of the oligarchy that has stolen a third of Russia's assets. Russians average less personal wealth than people of India, a country of immense poverty.
It's said he will appoint Karl Icahn Treasury Secretary. Icahn, is a corporate raider who gains control of companies to reorganize or break them up, for short-term profits. Know them by the company they keep.
Space permitting, I could write much more: his personal attacks on women and others, incitement of violence, prejudiced rantings, lies and flip-flops covering both sides of an issue, liberal history and phony move to the Republican Party, similarity to Hitler's methods, proposal to kill families of terrorists, questionable Christianity.
Trump has touched a nerve with the public dissatisfied with Washington. But his glib speeches offer nothing workable to fix that, and he has pushed unrealistic, contradictory ideas that many voters seem unable to evaluate.
