Outstanding Lombard Gardens Honored by Lombard Garden Club

The 90th Anniversary Committee of the Lombard Garden Club is inviting all residents with Lombard addresses to participate in the "Contribute to the Beauty of Lombard" event. Residents are encouraged to nominate their front yard garden or a neighbor's front yard garden to be recognized by the Lombard Garden Club. Chosen gardens will receive a yard sign to post in their front yards and may be recognized in local print media and on line. The sign will be on display for one month. Addresses of properties for nomination can be submitted through the Lombard Garden Club website, www.lombardgardenclub.com, or by calling 630-620-7517. Nominations can be made beginning May 4 and continue through September. Twenty gardens will be chosen each month for this honor. Members of the committee are Lombard Garden Club President, Cindy Ward; Membership and Hospitality Co-Chairman, Barbara Madigan; Evening Horticulture Group Chairman, Diana Fries; Civic Chairman, Mary Beth Lynch; and Conservation and Environment Chairman, Karen Brittain.
