McHenry County Audubon bird walks begin

Beginner and experienced bird watchers are invited to join bird walks at Volo Bog State Natural Area, Brandenberg Road east of Route 12, and the McHenry Dam, River Road south of Miller Road in McHenry.

Walks are Saturdays or Sundays from 8 to 11 a.m. through September and range from two to three miles in length, covering a variety of habitats. The walks are hosted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources at the McHenry County Audubon.
