Matt Pizur pitched a no-hitter with 9 strikeouts and no walks for the Warriors (9-12, 6-5) in their West Suburban Gold win over Addison Trail (9-11, 4-7). Pizur faced only two batters over the minimum 21. Kyle Ferguson and Alec Michaelson drove in Willowbrook's runs in the third and fourth innings.
Wheaton North 4, Glenbard North 0:
The Falcons (12-8, 8-5) blanked Glenbard North (5-18, 2-12) in DuPage Valley Conference play behind winning pitcher Sam Lawrence, who struck out 10 and allowed 2 hits in 6 innings. John Carlson, who drove in a run, and Casey Becker had 2 hits. Neal Shah went 2-for-3 for the Panthers.
Glenbard South 1, Aurora Central 0:
Fabian Garcia fired a 1-hitter with 5 strikeouts for the Raiders (11-9, 9-4) in their Metro Suburban West victory. Glenbard South scored the game's lone run in the top of the seventh inning when Dan Opem's bunt scored Tim Marks.
Glenbard West 11, Proviso West 1:
The Hilltoppers (10-10, 5-4) scored 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to win in the West Suburban Silver. D.J. Ficarella went 3-for-3 while Zach Lutz added 2 hits and Kevin Spencer had 2 RBI. Cole Brady was the winning pitcher.
Lake Park 5, Metea Valley 2:
A 4-run bottom of the first inning powered the Lancers (14-5, 9-4) to victory in the DuPage Valley. Jim McDonald, Colin Jamison, A.J. Ackerley and Dan Lamz all drove in runs in support of winning pitcher Connor Cook. Conner Lovely went 3-for-3 for Metea Valley (11-12, 6-10).
Neuqua Valley 7, Naperville North 1:
Complete-game winner James Kulak struck out seven while scattering 3 hits and Tyler Cristofaro went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI for the Wildcats (13-6, 9-5 DuPage Valley) in their seventh straight win. Will Drake went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Waubonsie Valley 6, WW South 3:
The Warriors (15-7, 10-6) broke a 2-2 tie in the DuPage Valley by scoring 3 runs in the top of the fifth. Johnny Johnson, Nick Price and Connor Yukna all had 2 hits while Quinton Zielke had 2 RBI. Jacob Hennessy was the complete-game winning pitcher. Paul Monaco went 2-for-4 for WW South (5-14, 3-13).
Wheaton Academy 8, Fenton 1:
Leadoff hitter R.W. Rienow went 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI for the Warriors (9-10, 5-4) in Metro Suburban West play. Winning pitcher Payton Sowa also drove in 2 runs.
Hinsdale Central 11, York 4:
Andrew Zapka, Alex Panice and Spencer Garnett combined for 8 hits and 9 RBI for the Red Devils (14-8, 6-5) in their West Suburban Silver win. Eric Stephens won on the mound. Matt Riecker drove in 2 runs for York (12-9, 7-5).
Westmont 11, Sandwich 3:
Joe Donovan and complete-game winning pitcher Kevin Melvin went 2-for-3 as the Sentinels (14-10, 4-7) cruised in the Interstate Eight.
