Stevenson 7, Buffalo Grove 0 (5): Henry Marchese homered and Patrick Loeffler and Dylan Molek each had 2 hits to lead Stevenson to the shutout victory.

Winning pitcher Justin Kopech went the distance and gave up only 1 hit and 3 walks. He also had 2 strikeouts.

Mundelein 14, Whitney Young 4: Mundelein pounded out 11 hits, including 3 by Brendan Murphy and 2 each by Jeff Morton and Brett Parola.

Morton blasted a 2-run home run, Murphy had a triple and a double and Parola had a double.

Zach Zentz was the winning pitcher for Mundelein, which improves to 16-6.

Vernon Hills 12, Wheeling 2: Joe Rangel made the most out of his second start of the season, going the distance and allowing just 3 hits and 3 walks. He also rang up 6 strikeouts.

A total of 11 different players for Vernon Hills reached safely. Connor McNamara and Drew Winegardner each had doubles.

Lake Zurich 3, Rolling Meadows 2: Lake Zurich scored the winning run in the top of the eighth inning.

Nick Sanders and Dylan Niedzwiecki each had 2 hits for the Bears.

Winning pitcher Trevor Niedzwiecki had 7 strikeouts and allowed just 1 walk and 2 hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Crystal Lake South 5, Lakes 3: Ben Milewski had 2 hits and Brandon Khan drove in 2 runs for Lakes, which drops to 8-12 on the season.

Palatine 6, Grayslake North 4: Bobby Krebs had 2 hits for Grayslake North, which was plagued by 6 errors.
