Consider candidate with best record on truth

In several of the recent letter-to-the-editor ramblings, we have had writings on the subject of "liars." The recent offering suggested that all politicians lie and we should just find the one that lies the least.

In that vein, let's look at PolitiFact, the Pulitzer Prize-winning fact checking site. They rated Bernie Sanders at 46 percent, 33 percent for John Kasich, 23 percent for Ted Cruz and 12 percent for Donald Trump as telling the truth or close to the truth while on the campaign trail.

Hillary Clinton? She was rated as 95 percent of her statements on the political trail are true or close to being true.

So if you want to pick the person that lies the least, you have your answer.
