Cubs' Kris Bryant injures right ankle running bases

CHICAGO (AP) - Kris Bryant of the Chicago Cubs hurt his right ankle while running the bases.

The 2015 NL Rookie of the Year was replaced in left field by Javier Baez to start the fifth inning Thursday against Milwaukee.

Chicago said Bryant rolled his ankle running the bases in the third. He singled and scored from first on Anthony Rizzo's double.

Bryant was hit by a pitch for a second time an inning later and stranded at second before exiting the game.

Bryant is hitting .289 with four home runs.
