Classic movies for Elk Grove's 60th begin Monday

The Elk Grove Theatre is hosting special showings of classic movies in honor of Elk Grove Village's 60th anniversary, starting Monday, April 25, with "Singin' in the Rain."

The series, which continues through Aug. 22, will be presented at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. Admission is $1 per person. Chicago Film Critics Association member and Elk Grove resident Erik Childress will introduce "Singin' in the Rain."

Other movies include "A Hard Day's Night" May 23; "Blazing Saddles" June 27; "Raiders of the Lost Ark" July 25; and "Jurassic Park" Aug. 22.

The theater is located at 1050 Arlington Heights Road.
