Lakes High, Lindenhurst resident win state park award

The Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association have presented a 2015 Community Service Award to the Lakes High School National Honor Society and Lindenhurst resident Joyce Dever for their contributions to the Lindenhurst Park District.

Over the years, the National Honor Society and Dever have provided communitywide involvement through regular volunteerism, cooperation, and sponsorship through resources at various park district events and projects.

These awards were presented at the local level at a regular meeting of the March 8 board of park commissioners.
