Wheeling settles 2013 snowplow collision lawsuit for $35,000

Wheeling village trustees on Monday approved a $35,000 settlement to resolve a lawsuit filed in connection with a crash between a passenger vehicle and a village snow removal vehicle on Dec. 14, 2013.

Lena Kozimor filed suit on behalf of herself and her husband, Thomas Kozimor, who has since died of unrelated causes.

The village agreed to pay Lena Kozimor $32,000 for injuries sustained in the collision and an additional $3,000 to the estate of Thomas Kozimor. The suit also named snowplow driver Michael Boros as a defendant.
