Oakton presents Edward Albee's 'Seascape'

Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize winning play "Seascape" comes to the stage March 31-April 3 and April 7-10 when the Performing Arts at Oakton presents the production at Oakton's Studio One, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines.

"Seascape" is a provocative, absurdist look at marriage and culture. A middle-aged American couple entering retirement takes a vacation by the sea to examine their relationship and discuss their future.

However, the pair finds themselves drawn into an intriguing relationship with another couple who is remarkably different from themselves.

The play opens at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, with a special $5 preview. Regular performances are scheduled: 8 p.m. Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3. Additional shows take place: 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10.

Tickets are $10 for general admission; $8 for students and seniors; and $6 for groups of 15 more. Purchase online at www.oakton.edu/tickets or call (847) 635-1900.
