Rain-snow mix danger until 7 p.m.

Rain that fell throughout the suburbs this morning turned to snow this afternoon as temperatures dropped into the mid-30s.

The forecast calls for snow to start falling around 5 p.m., and the National Weather Service warned of blowing snow that could reduce visibility while driving until 7 p.m.

No real accumulation is expected, with snow showers tapering off around 10 p.m.

Friday looks better with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday looks even better with highs in the upper 50s.

The forecast for Easter calls for highs in the low 50s with rain later in the day.
