Triseal Corp. offices transformed from photo lab in need of a new look

Finalist 4:

Patricia Wales, CEO of

Triseal Corporation in Hebron

Triseal Corp. was founded in May of 1985 when Ray and Patricia Wales purchased the Heavy Duty Seal Division from Albert Trostel Packings Ltd. of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Since then, the corporate offices and manufacturing have been relocated to Hebron.

About 28 years ago the couple refurbished their offices from a photo processing lab to an office atmosphere.

I did the best I could to make it a workable office situation while at the same time attempting to rid the feeling of the photo lab, said Patricia Wales, who serves as president of the company.

As new technology surfaced, the addition of computers, printers and servers have been a necessity to add to the office. But it is not the most attractive, she says.

Since moving into the building it has been a challenge to continue to keep it updated.

It desperately needs a top to bottom makeover!

How an expert would make it over

Colleen Baader is creative director at Rieke Office Interiors in Elgin.

This design would cost between $10,000 and $15,000.

At Rieke Office Interiors we walk in to many companies that look just like Triseal.

Office renovations are sometimes not a priority for some business. One concern employer's should have, is their employee's impression of their workplace.

Today's wide ranging workforce has a higher expectations of their environment. Baby Boomers were looking for a career and a place to settle in and retire. Today's workforce is much different. There are 5 generations in the workforce today and by 2020 the largest segment will be the millennial's.

If you don't have a workplace environment and strategy to attract and embrace that workforce your company will be left behind. In order to keep your team engaged and productive your office environment needs to have flexible spaces.

Our design for Triseal office space would include creating a collaborative standing height table where employees could work together using the latest technology along with brightening up the office with color and modern furniture finishes.

As you can see in this image we would customize the office furniture around structural columns as to not lose any room in the open office.

Technology needs change the look of offices
