Masonic Lodge brethren collect bottled water for Flint

Thursday nights are usually a night of fellowship or ceremony for the D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge in Wheeling. This past Thursday was a night to celebrate the ideology of charity, a strong cornerstone of Masonic teachings. The brethren of D.C. Cregier and Constellation Lodge 974, Des Plaines, collected more than 80 donated cases of bottled water for shipment to Flint, Michigan, through Howard Buick-GMC in Elmhurst. Howard Buick-GMC committed to matching case for case donations to help those in need.

D.C. Cregier Masonic Lodge was founded in 1850 and has called Wheeling home ever since. In an effort to live by the Masonic teachings of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, the organization supports the The Illinois Masonic Children's Home, local AMVETS and other philanthropies.

Throughout the year, brothers enjoy fishing trips, go-karting, and other fellowship activities. Men 18 and older interested in membership are welcome and encouraged to visit and learn more about the organization before the meetings.
