Endorsement: Pollock for Democratic nomination for Kane County Board, Dist. 4
In the Kane County 4th District, we endorse incumbent Brian Pollock in the Democratic primary over challenger Angela Clay Thomas.
An Aurora attorney, Pollock, 38, of Aurora has impressive accomplishments, including acting in effect as a free Springfield lobbyist on behalf of the county because of his interest in doing so, saving the county money and showing success in getting state action that is beneficial to the county. He also has a great attendance record at county meetings and seems to really enjoy his work. He works well with Democrats and Republicans; the Republican board chair lauded his lobbying work.
Thomas, 44, of Aurora, a communications/development consultant, has complaints about Pollock whose merits are obscured by political disagreements in Aurora Township. Based on Pollock's obvious accomplishments, we support him for re-election.
