Daily activities for Kids at Swedish Days

Swedish Days is not short of activities to do for the kids with the Creation Station, located right by the Kane County Courthouse. Each day will have a focused theme and activity.

Tuesday is Move It day with kids moving and dancing with the help of Nintendo Wii, Wednesday is Create It, which gives kids an opportunity to decorate a picture farm, venture through the post office station or design a family album.

Thursday focuses on Touch It or science day where the Midwest Museum of Natural History will bring reptiles for children to see and learn about.

“Every festival we have we try and incorporate for the kids. All of our entertainment is family friendly,” said Laura Rush, communications manager for the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a very family (oriented) festival.”

Friday, June 24 is deemed Kids’ Day featuring a 28-foot trailer where kids can compete in the new Video Game Tournament. All of the games are free.

Kids will also have an opportunity to do their own crafting at Good Sense store on Wednesday and Thursday from 1-4 p.m. Other activities throughout the festival range from mini golfing, to the 3-on-3 Basketball tournament, and face painting during the Craft Show.
