CLC poetry, Shakespeare events on tap

Poetry and Shakespeare will be celebrated at the College of Lake County at two events sponsored by the CLC Literary Arts Society. The semiannual poetry slam will be presented from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the A Court. Each poet can present three original poems. Gift card prizes will be awarded. A Shakespeare Birthday Bash is set for 1 to 4 p.m. on April 27, in the B Court. Students and community members are welcome to perform famous plays, poems and works by William Shakespeare.
