Mark the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare by seeing the Folger Shakespeare Library's national touring exhibition "First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare," featuring the 1623 First Folio containing 36 of his 38 plays. It's at the Lake County Discovery Museum, 27277 N. Forest Preserve Road, Wauconda. Bundle up for horse-drawn sleigh rides and more as the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County hosts its annual Wonders of Winter open house at the Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 W. 31st St., Oak Brook. Guests can also meet live birds of prey from the Willowbrook Wildlife Center, make s'mores over an open fire, play games, create crafts and more. Free.
