Great Lakes Naval Museum event

Great Lakes Naval Museum invites military and civilian families to attend a free educational event called "Salt, Water, & Power: Corrosion As Energy," from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. It will be in the museum theater. Visitors will learn and observe how the electrochemical process of corrosion works. The importance of this process to the U.S. Navy - positive and negative - will be demonstrated. Guests will have an opportunity to build a coin batter and power a salt water battery-operated car.
