Libertyville Township board opening

Libertyville Township invites qualified residents to apply for the recently vacated position of trustee. The seat had been held by Trustee Phil Collins, who has moved outside of the township. Applicants must be a legal voter and have lived in Libertyville Township for at least one year. Responsibilities include: auditing of township bills, attending to annual budgeting and levy responsibilities, spending township funds, compensating township officers, appointing fire protection district trustees, oversight of the township's Open Space District and other functions. The remaining term is until April 2017.
