Wheeling hotel giving away 100 rooms of furniture
The Lakhani Hospitality Group is giving away the furniture at the former Fairbridge Inn Hotel, 1090 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling, on Friday and Saturday, the city of Prospect Heights said Thursday in a news release.
Lakhani is remodeling the hotel and will donate more than 100 rooms of furniture in need of a new home from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 29-30. Anyone is welcome during that time to view the furniture and take it home. On Saturday morning, Hersey High School students will assist with loading furniture into vehicles.
