Preparing pets for disasters
The Fremont Community Emergency Response Team will give a presentation on preparing pets for a disaster at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Information will include handling of pets in disaster-related emergencies, such as fire, floods, and tornadoes, and an update on the efforts of the local response teams to provide shelters for your pets. An item for emergency kits will be available to participants, a raffle of an emergency weather radio will be held and cake will be served. Register through the events tab at www.fremontlibrary.org.
