SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Gov. Bruce Rauner has named Mike Hoffman the new director of Illinois' Central Management Services, the state's personnel agency.

Hoffman is replacing Tom Tyrrell, who left the post last week for undisclosed reasons. Rauner's office announced Hoffman's appointment Friday.
