St. Charles East helps the Wille family for the holidays

On Thursday, Dec. 17, it was all about the Don and Teri Wille family at the St. Charles McDonald's at 1915 W. Main St. Teachers from St. Charles East High School took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the family of 12 who lost their Kingston home to a fire in October.

Many teachers worked very hard including: Cabel, Joan Barley, Denise Hayes, Anna Goebbert, Deena Ellerbusch, Kimberly Mazur, Mary Ann Carrell, Patricia Ackerman, Kai Rush, Jamie Veyette, Debra Austin, Dana Hogland, Yvette Harding, Shari Knarr, Diane Markowski, Elizabeth Schulthess, Anne Marie Mannarelli, Deann Dahlquist, Lindley Wells, Julie Olney, Diane Gow, Sharon Young, Kristi Richter, David De Wees, Jennifer Goss, Melissa Oetke, White, Lisa Dandre, Charlie Kyle, Cynthia Newland, Karen Kobler, Anne Healy, Kathy Becht, Margaret Hampton, Bill Stepien, Joan Nichol, Shelly Kellums, Neal Anderson, Abraham, Jonathan Kittl and Christine Cochenour.

The McTeacher jobs included: drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. There were even teachers singing for tips.

St. Charles East McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the Wille family. All the kids came to see their teachers perform and work at the St. Charles McDonald's.

A special appearance by the talented band McTeachers helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to Assistant Principal Lisa Dandre, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! The event was courtesy of the McDonald's owner/operators, the Lardas family.
