Talbot's all-around game lifts Barrington
Barrington senior Megan Talbot scored a game-high 19 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Fillies' girls basketball team improved to 2-2 in the Bison Classic at Buffalo Grove with a 47-42 victory over Grayslake Central.
"I thought Megan (7 rebounds) did a really nice job on (Amanda) Larson (one of the Rams' top players who scored 5 points) and still managed to be a force on offense," said Barrington coach Babbi Barreiro. "It's the second game in a row where she has been able to shut down the person she was guarding."
Senior Abigail Elo added 7 points and junior Alex Van Ryne 6.
Auri Grayson collected 5 rebounds, 3 points, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots while Rachel Mori added 4 steals in addition to a third-quarter bucket.
