ManorCare resident council hosts annual donation for Crisis Center

During the holiday season, the Resident Council of ManorCare in Elgin holds an annual food drive to supplement the Community Crisis Center in Elgin. Again this year they have received a large contribution from friends, families and employees. This donation was picked up by the Elgin Crisis Center the week of Thanksgiving.

This is the third year they have held this food drive and each year they collect and donate several pounds of nonperishable items.

Manor Care's Resident Council has already started their last charity drive for this year. Residents are currently accepting donation of hats, gloves and scarves of all sizes for donation to the Elgin Crisis Center through Jan. 4. Donations may be dropped off at ManorCare, 180 S. State St., Elgin.
