Time to take the offense in terror war
The horrific attacks against France are a stark reminder that the civilized world must unite and work together in order to stop these barbaric terrorists.
With so many resources at the disposal of Europe and America, it would seem we (and I stress we) must stand together and use those resources to thwart this ever-growing threat.
To be sure, this advisary will not stop until we stop them. So it's time to take off the gloves and create havoc in their lives as they have done to us.
With ties to our own tragedy on 9/11, those who wish to destroy the democracy we hold so dear must be taken very seriously by a collective effort.
Furthermore, America and Europe must make the tough decisions to take the fight to this cruel enemy by taking the offensive.
No one wants to see soldiers in Syria and Iraq, but if that's what it takes to stamp out this heinous creed, then let's do it together.
It's sad that we have to deal with carnage at a time when we have such prosperity and well-being in our lives, but it is essential to our future.
In essance, the true measure of civilization entails protecting those who exist within the realm of civility.
If not all of us, then who?
