Top returning players: Maddie Versluys (Sr., 5-10, wing), Hannah Haecker (Sr., 5-8, F), Emily Lamp (Jr., 5-9, G), Elise VanNoord (So., 5-11, F)

Top newcomer: Keely Frens (Fr., G)

Season outlook: Maddie Versluys led the area in scoring last year at 23.4 points per game to go with 9.0 rebounds and 5.0 steals per contest. She's a three-time All-Area and all-conference player who owns the school's career scoring record (1,312 points and counting). "Maddie will continue to be the leader in her fourth year as a varsity starter," said Fred Versluys. Haecker averaged 5.0 points, while VanNoord averaged 4.0 points and 3.0 rebounds. Lamp is back after averaging 3.2 points and 4.3 rebounds as a sophomore. "With the exception of Maddie, last year the rest of the team was playing in its first year of varsity basketball on a regular basis. The core group of our varsity players has a season of varsity basketball under its belt. This will be an additional benefit," said Fred Versluys. "We have come a long way from our first day of practice. The girls' attitudes, conditioning and work ethic have been terrific. As a result of the focus this team has shown for the practices we have had, I have been encouraged by the development of the team."
