Police, FBI investigating Elgin's second bank robbery this week
Elgin police are searching for a suspect in a Thursday morning bank robbery - the second in the city this week.
Officers responded about 10 a.m. for a robbery at Union National Bank, 101 E. Chicago St., police said.
A man entered the bank and demanded money, then left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
No employees or customers inside the bank were injured, police said.
The suspect is described as a bald white male with green eyes, more than 6 feet tall with a medium build, about 190 pounds and wearing a dark-colored Adidas sweatshirt, according to bandittrackerchicago.com.
Elgin detectives are working with the FBI.
The PNC Bank, 28 N. Grove Ave., was robbed about the same time on Monday morning, officials said. That suspect also left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured.
