No. 11 Texas women roll to 86-33 win over Northwestern State

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Imani Boyette scored 25 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as No. 11 Texas rolled to an 86-33 victory over Northwestern State on Wednesday.

Boyette shot 12 of 13 from the field and had eight offensive rebounds. The 6-foot-7 senior center has double-doubles in each of her first two games this season.

Brooke McCarty added 15 points and Brianna Taylor had 11 points for Texas (2-0).

Texas outscored Northwestern State 27-1 in the second quarter to take a 49-12 halftime lead. Texas capitalized on its superior height to outrebound Northwestern State 47-18 and outscored the Lady Demons 50-8 in the paint. Texas had more offensive rebounds (19) than Northwestern State had total rebounds (18).

Beatrice Attura scored 15 points for Northwestern State (1-2).
