How those in need score when you bowl a turkey

Pinstripes is talking turkey, and what the kingpin of sophisticated fun has come up with might just bowl you over.

For every "turkey" (three strikes in a row) bowled at one of its four Chicago area locations, through Sunday, Nov. 22, Pinstripes will give the bowler a free frozen turkey, and donate a matching bird to the Greater Chicago Food Depository or Northern Illinois Food Bank, to help feed local families in need this Thanksgiving season.

Additionally, anyone bringing in a nonperishable food item to donate to the partner food banks, during this time period, will receive his or her choice of a complimentary Nutty Cider, a seasonal cocktail made with hot apple cider and Frangelico, or its nonalcoholic counterpart. Limited to one per customer, with the purchase of an entree. This offer applies to donations made on-site at Pinstripes locations in Chicago (River East), Oak Brook, Northbrook and South Barrington.

Pinstripes Inc. (www.pinstripes.com) is a distinctive dining and entertainment concept featuring exceptional Italian/American cuisine and wine, bowling and bocce, a year-round outdoor patio and fire pit, and private event space accommodating 20 to 600 people. Based in the area, Pinstripes is in Chicago, Oak Brook, Northbrook, and South Barrington.

Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank are members of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks working to provide food for hungry people and engage communities in the fight to end hunger. Founded in 1979, the Greater Chicago Food Depository makes a daily impact across Cook County through 650 pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile programs, children's programs and innovative responses that address the root causes of hunger. Last year, the Food Depository distributed 68 million pounds of shelf-stable food, fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of 155,000 meals every day.
