Historian to lecture on Frank Sinatra at MCC

McHenry County College will host Barry Bradford, nationally-recognized speaker and award-winning historian, who will present a multimedia presentation on "Frank Sinatra" from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the Luecht Conference Center at the college, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

Bradford's presentation will feature the charismatic and complex facets of Sinatra's life and career. Although he was not a physically big man, every aspect of the story of Frank Sinatra is bigger than life.

The first modern pop-star singer, an Academy award-winning movie actor, a friend to mobsters and a friend to those in need, founder of the Rat Pack and a friend of John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra's story is unique.

The lecture is free. For details, email conferencecenter@mchenry.edu or call (815) 479-7570.
