Woman dies in Oak Brook car crash
One driver was killed and another was seriously injured Thursday morning during a two-car crash in Oak Brook, police said.
About 9:40 a.m., a vehicle was traveling west on 31st Street, west of Regent Drive, when it went over the median and entered the eastbound lanes. The vehicle then crashed head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
The woman driving the vehicle that drove over the median was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle suffered "traumatic injuries," and was transported to a hospital by the Oak Brook Fire Department, police said.
Officials said the DuPage County coroner and the Felony Investigative Assistance Team responded to the scene to help the Oak Brook Police Department and conduct the crash reconstruction and investigation.
