Des Plaines Alderman Dick Sayad's appeal continued to Dec. 3

Des Plaines Alderman Dick Sayad's misdemeanor criminal trespassing appeal will be heard by a judge Dec. 3, officials determined Friday.

Sayad appeared with his attorney Dean Morask at the Skokie courthouse Friday before Judge Michael Hood, who previously found Sayad guilty for walking into a resident's house unannounced in February to resolve a snow shoveling issue.

Morask said prosecutors asked for more time to respond to his motions seeking to reverse the initial guilty verdict.

Character witnesses could have been called Friday, but now that process will be delayed until Dec. 3.
