US women's team beats Dike Naples 86-50

NAPLES, Italy (AP) - Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner scored 15 points and the U.S. women's team beat Dike Naples 86-50 on Thursday night in the third game of the Americans' European tour.

Griner added three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. The University of Connecticut's Breanna Stewart was 6 of 9 from the field and had 12 points and three steals, Chicago Sky star Elena Delle Donne had 11 points and five rebounds, and the Washington Mystics' Stefanie Dolson also scored 11 points. The Americans had a 32-6 lead after the first quarter.

Gintare Pertonyte led Naples with 15 points.

The Americans opened Sunday night in Spain with a 94-52 victory over Spanish League champion Uni Girona, and beat the Italian national team 79-66 on Wednesday night in Rome. They will face finish the tour Saturday night at EuroLeague champion USK Prague.

Since being selected to coach the team in 2009, Connecticut's Geno Auriemma has directed the squad to a 25-0 record and gold medals in the 2012 Olympics and 2010 and 2014 world championships.
