Daily Herald hosts Color the Town Pink in Deer Park

The Daily Herald is teaming with Deer Park Town Center on Saturday for a fun event with the serious purpose to support and raise funds for breast cancer prevention.

Color the Town Pink takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the center, 20530 N. Rand Road, in Deer Park.

The event will feature exercise programs, a fashion show, a raffle and more.

Admission is free, but participants are encouraged to to register in advance and make a $15 donation. The first 200 to make a donation will receive a pink event T-shirt, pink gym Quillow, lululemon bag filled with Deer Park Town Center offers, OPI pink nail polish, and other goodies, and five tickets for a raffle for prizes such as a Brighton bracelet, $100 gift card to your favorite Deer Park Town Center retailer, bras from Lucy, lululemon gift cards, and more.

All proceeds will benefit the Advocate Charitable Foundation, which helps provide mammograms for women in underserved areas and for women who are underinsured.

Events include: group Tabata by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m.; fashion show by lululemon, Lucy, Athleta, White House/Black Market and more, 11:10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; and group yoga by Core Power Yoga, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
