Intren CEO nets legacy, leadership awards

UNION - Intren CEO and Founder Loretta Rosenmayer was recently awarded the Women's Business Development Center's Hedy M. Ratner and S. Carol Dougal Legacy Award and the Mano a Mano Family Resource Center's Leadership and Giving Award.

The Legacy Award was presented to Rosenmayer at the evening reception and award party for the WBDC's 29th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman's Conference. The award recognizes women entrepreneurs who have shown longtime commitment to the mission of the WBDC and who embody the visionary and entrepreneurial spirit of the WBDC's founders Hedy M. Ratner and S. Carol Dougal.

Rosenmayer was also awarded the 2015 Leadership in Giving Award by the Mano a Mano Family Resource Center for her generosity, support of the organization, leadership and philanthropic vision that have positively impacted their organization. Mano a Mano Family Resource Center empowers immigrant and underserved families of Lake County to become full participants in American life.

"It is a great honor that Loretta is being recognized for her commitment and support of women and Latinos," said Matthew Turk, Intern executive vice president. "Her commitment to women entrepreneurs and the Latino community is an excellent example of the guiding force behind Intrenand how we invest and give back in our communities and the utility industry."

Led by Rosenmayer, Intren's stewardship initiatives have grown from support of local and county charities and organizations, to state and nationwide charities and organizations. In 2014, Intrensupported over 75 nationwide charitable organizations. Since 1993, Rosenmayer has been an advocate for the WBDC, and Intrenhas remained a certified Women's Business Enterprise through the WBDC.
