Round Lake library now offering citizenship information center

The Round Lake Area Public Library now has a citizenship information center in the main lobby, with books, DVDs, and CDs that can be checked out with a library card. There will also be free pamphlets, brochures, and other materials about the naturalization process. Most materials are also in Spanish. The library also offers free citizenship classes each Tuesday in the computer classroom to help people prepare for their naturalization exam. Registration is at 5:30 p.m. and classes begin at 6 p.m. During the coming year, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will present several citizenship information sessions at the library. Information about the dates and times will be posted on the library website, rlalibrary.org/ and in the citizenship information center at the library. Anyone with questions, can call the library at (847) 546-7060 and speak with Sandra Lopez ext. 122 (Spanish/English) or Edith Basir ext. 110 (English only).
