Palatine Attorney Latest Addition to Lavelle Law

Area law firm Lavelle Law, Ltd. has grown again with the announcement that Michael Roth has joined the firm as an Associate. Roth will focus his practice in the firm's Estate Planning and Probate practice groups.

Roth brings a broad range of legal experience to Lavelle Law, having operated as a private practitioner, spending five years as the Executive Director of the Center for Disability and Elder Law, and serving as Development Director of The Community House located in Hinsdale. The Community House provides mental health counseling services to low income residents of DuPage County and educational services to at risk youth in the Willowbrook Community.

"What stood out to us was Michael's well-established commitment to providing legal services to underserved communities," said Lavelle Law founding partner Kerry Lavelle. Lavelle Law has been recognized multiple times for public service including the national Beacon of Justice Award from the National Legal Aid and Defender Association earlier this year. "Our firm has been built on a unique commitment to serving the community in addition to providing exceptional legal services to everyone from individuals to major corporations. Michael should adapt to our culture immediately."

"I'm extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to transition my career in this manner," said Roth. "Assisting clients with their estate planning needs, providing assistance to elderly individuals and guiding families through the probate process will keep me very busy and there is a lot to live up to when representing the Lavelle Law brand. I am anxious to get started."

Roth grew up in Palatine and attended Loyola Academy in Wilmette before graduating from Fairfield University. He then received his JD from John Marshall Law School. He is admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Roth received the John Marshall Law School's 2010 Diversity Award given to alumni who have shown a commitment to promoting diversity in the legal profession. Two years later he was honored by The Center for Disability and Elder Law with the organization's Distinguished Service Award in appreciation of his tireless dedication and commitment to advancing the legal rights of those individuals in our community marginalized by age, poverty and/or disability.

Roth will be a regular contributor to collection of legal articles that can be found at www.lavellelaw.com and to their weekly podcast series, "Chicago's Legal Latte". For more information, visit www.lavellelaw.com.
