Geneva
• A $5,000 white-green-and-black Cannondale Dura-Ace Evo bicycle was stolen between 11 a.m. Aug. 22 and 11 p.m. Aug. 23 out of the backroom of Bicycle Heaven, 104 W. State St.
• An 18-by-36-inch window pane was broken by a pellet between 12:01 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 17 on the 1100 block of Appleton Lane.
Batavia
• Someone threw a small chunk of cement through a window on the 200 block of North Van Buren street, it was reported at 5:11 a.m. Sept. 27.
• Four mailboxes on the 1200 block of Howe Street and the 2000 block of Gillenwater Street were damaged overnight Sept. 26-27.
• A counterfeit $20 bill was used at Taco Bell, 134 S. Randall Road, it was reported at 4:09 p.m. Sept. 27.
• Nakia M. Holpe, 23, of the 200 block of Laurel Drive in North Aurora, was charged with receiving, possessing or selling a stolen vehicle; obstruction of identification; and driving with a revoked license at 12:21 a.m. Sept. 28 on Kirk Road, according to police.
• A portable toilet was set on fire on the 900 block of Carlisle Road, it was reported at 12:13 a.m. Sept. 26.
• Lamont T. Phillips, 33, of the 1200 block of Marshall Boulevard in Aurora, was charged with speeding and transportation of open alcohol on Kirk Road Sept. 26, according to police.
• A purse, an iPhone and an IPASS transponder were stolen out of a vehicle on the 2000 block of Main Street, it was reported at 3 p.m. Sept. 25. The thief broke a window.
• A man reported being attacked by four other men on a pedestrian bridge at Clark Island Park, 400 S. River St., at 8:31 p.m. Sept. 25. He said they asked for money and, when he refused, they punched him in the stomach and emptied his pockets, stealing $20.
• A house window was broken in the 200 block of South River Street, it was reported at 9:42 p.m. Sept. 25.
Kane County
• Steve J. Sunderlage, 56, of the 27600 block of Lukens Road, Sycamore, was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid and accident at 12:17 a.m. Saturday after a crash at a railroad crossing near at Plank and Waughon roads near Burlington, according to a sheriff report.
• A resident of the 40W900 block of Chippewa Pass near Elgin reported a possible case of identify theft at 9:30 a.m. Friday after receiving two credit cards in the mail for which the resident did not apply.
• A black Honda Civic Si was stolen between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday from the 2200 block of Lowry Street near Aurora.
• Marco A. Aguirre, Jr., 21, of the 1700 block of Ariana Drive, Bartlett, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, resisting/obstructing a peace officer and driving with one headlight at 12:43 p.m. Sept. 22 after a traffic stop at Routes 20 and 31 near Elgin, according to a sheriff report.
