View fine art crafts at the Chicago Botanic Garden

The American Craft Exposition enters its fourth decade of showcasing distinctive, handcrafted art at its new home, the Chicago Botanic Garden Sept. 25-27.

Presented by The Auxiliary of Northshore University HealthSystem, this juried exposition and sale of fine crafts features one-of-a-kind pieces, luxury collections and uniquely creative artwork from more than 150 of the country's finest artisans. Now celebrating its 31st season, this highly anticipated event gives guests the opportunity to appreciate and purchase artwork while supporting pioneering ovarian cancer research at Northshore.

This year, for the first time, artwork from the country's leading artists will be set against the backdrop of the Chicago Botanic Garden's world-renowned grounds. In addition to featuring unique pieces from award winning craftspeople, ACE is committed to fostering the next generation of artists. A selection of emerging artists will showcase new achievements in jewelry, ceramics, metal, fashion wearables, glass, furniture, fiber decorative, leather, wood, mixed media and baskets.

ACE is a nationally recognized event which is presented by a volunteer committee that works year-round to bring patrons a memorable experience. The 2015 ACE Co-chairs Debbie Kerr and Liz Dauten, both of Northfield, are proud to usher this award-winning event not only into its next decade, but also into its new location.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with the Chicago Botanic Garden to showcase the artists' work in such an idyllic setting," Dauten said. "Patrons will enjoy a day of meeting the artists behind the beautiful work and purchasing unique luxury items while supporting critical ovarian cancer research at Northshore, a vitally important cause in the community."

ACE 2015 will debut at its new location, the Chicago Botanic Garden, on Thursday, Sept. 24 with a Benefit Preview Party from 5:30-9 p.m. The show runs throughout the weekend, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27.
