North Maine Fire District to host open house Saturday
The North Maine Fire Protection District open house Saturday will feature a demonstration on residential fire sprinklers, an auto extrication, and displays from local support agencies.
Firefighters will conduct a side-by-side burn demonstration at 1:30 p.m., showing one fire that can be extinguished with sprinklers and one that can't. The auto extrication begins at noon.
The open house runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9301 Potter Road in Maine Township. Parking will be available across the street at the Chicago Mar Thoma Church. Hot dogs, chips and refreshments also will be available.
