Victim of Volo motorcycle crash identified

A man who was severely injured in a motorcycle crash in Volo Thursday was identified Friday as 18-year-old Jose Alonzo Sanchez.

Sanchez remains in critical condition at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

According to the preliminary investigation, Sanchez was riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle north on Singing Hills Drive when he lost control while braking. Deputies said Sanchez was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
