At least Trump is shaking things up

I can't say I would want Donald Trump as our president, but I am thoroughly enjoying the way he is shaking up the process.

I also find it amusing when people can't understand why he is garnering so much support. Let's see, my mother and other grandmothers across the country are subject to what for them are humiliating pat-downs at the airport while anyone and everyone from anywhere in the world can walk across our southern border.

As I approach retirement age, I am subject to hearing that Social Security, which I and millions of others have paid into for decades, is going broke - while at the same time I hear we have reached record high numbers of people on welfare and food stamps and these programs are apparently completely fiscally sound.

I have never seen a poll where the majority wanted Obamacare, yet it is the law of the land.

We have spent trillions of dollars on the war on poverty and poverty is an all-time high.

We have had congressional hearings on the Benghazi, the IRS and the VA scandals going back three years with absolutely nothing of consequence happening to anyone involved.

Our politicians are more concerned about what we call children born in America to illegal immigrants than they are about fixing the actual problem.

We negotiated with the Iranians for years to come up with a deal on their nuclear program where they will report to us the findings of inspections they will perform themselves.

One could go on. The bottom line is that, indeed Donald Trump has no problem standing at a podium in front of cameras and saying our country is being run by "losers and idiots." Why the growing support? Because he isn't afraid to say it and more importantly he is right.
