Changes needed to election format

It's clear that every discussion concerning politics always draws down to the same two word conclusion: Term Limits.

But since we're either unable or unwilling to establish term limits we should at least change the election format. We should emulate the model the British just implemented which limits all political campaigns to six weeks and $33 million dollars. Or something similar.

However, I would go one step further. I would change election day from the first Tuesday of November, which is based on a an archaic agricultural societal need, to the first Tuesday after April 15.

In this way the citizenry will be acutely aware of, and tuned into, the benefits or drawbacks of the current public servants and be better able to make a more informed and thoughtful election decision.
