A German shepherd-beagle mix named Digger who escaped from a Palatine animal boarding facility on Aug. 5 is still missing, his owners said Monday.

Todd Caponi of Palatine said the weekend's continued search for Digger resulted in one of his other two dogs getting sprayed by a skunk in some bushes, while numerous psychics have been coming forward offering their assistance.

Because there have been no recent sightings of Digger reported, Caponi said he increasingly believes that someone has found him and is keeping him. Digger escaped from a fenced outdoor area of the boarding facility.

Caponi learned Digger was missing just as he and his family were heading into Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

Anyone who spots Digger or has information about him is asked to call (847) 567-4550.
