Power back in downtown Aurora

Power has been completely restored to downtown Aurora after an electrical fire in an underground ComEd vault caused outages Monday evening, officials said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze that started just after 6 p.m. at Downer and Stolp, said Dan Ferrelli, Aurora's public information officer.

The fire knocked out power to 150 customers for a few hours, including the Paramount Theatre.

Downer remained closed between River and Broadway, while Stolp was closed between Galena and Benton.
