Images: An hour in Lake Zurich

We spent one hour - no more, no less - roaming around town photographing things that caught our eye. The obvious and the obscure, big stuff and small. But all identifiable to Lake Zurich.

My daughter, Megan, an avid photographer heading into high school, and I tackled this assignment together. She has an eye for "artsy" pictures as seen on Snapchat stories. Taking a photography class in the fall, Megan was eager to help out.

The namesake lake is a highlight in town, especially during the summer when the beach is the place to be.

This summer also marks the start of a long-awaited construction project at Lake Zurich High School. The football stadium is under constructions and will be expanded to better fit all the fans that attend Friday night games.

Look for a new town gallery every Sunday at dailyherald.com/galleries and on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
